"Yes ma'am." he stated bluntly before doing a double take. "If you throw up after eating so much, I'm not holding your hair." that wasn't in his job description and he was no longer in university. His days of that were done. The front gate is LOUD. Literally. The face of Eevee and Pikachu are displayed proudly in big, garish colors. The lights blinking on it are bright and switch patterns every minute or so. There's hidden speakers with Melody Miro 's latest pop song blasting out of it. He's not impressed. [break][break]

As he let the woman gather her intel, Paxton swerved away form her to grab a map of the place and then trailing back to her. "I recommend taste testing now, a few hours before the roller coaster, or directly after. The teacups and bumper cars are next to each other, followed by the Furris wheel. However the roller coaster will be a popular draw so even if we make it now, I recommend avoiding it due to the line." There's a pause as he looked over at the state of the fair. It's not even noon yet. Keen, blue eyes dart around before looking back at Penelope. "However, I see there's little to no line currently at the Pawns in Space Orbiter. That would also be an optimal start."

Paxton frowned at the reporter ignored his scheduling suggestions. Not that she needed to listen but if she was going to get through the entire thing in a timely manner... He allowed himself to be pulled along, already getting the feeling he wasn't going to win against the woman's whims. [break][break]

He kept up with her easily enough as they stepped towards the Furris Wheel. True to it's name it was just a large wheel with a Furret designed onto both sides. One normal the other shiny. He pulled a wristlet out of his pocket, securing the paper sticker on his wrist before taking Penny's and adjusting hers without a word. Then he pulled her out of line and into the VIP line that was boarding a bit faster than the rest. And for good reason. He'd heard the all day VIP was expensive Thankfully, HBN was paying for it. "Woo, Furris Wheel." he said as they were sat in a little paw shaped cart. He stared at Penny before adjusting his pokemon ears and looking quietly out the window. He didn't like rides like this. "This makes me sleepy." he explained idly trying to pass the time. "I don't understand why your camera man isn't here."

The professional façade he had been implementing fell as he turned back to the combative redhead. He hadn't liked her since he'd seen her walk into their precinct. The flash of red out of the blue, unexpected, had made the scars on his throat ache and his back tense before the woman revealed herself completely. He'd already wanted to back out, and the momentary scare had only made that feeling grow. [break][break]

But conversation with her? He would forever curse BARNABY FINCH for putting in such a good word for him. He doubted the journalist was trying to be helpful, and more so securing a familiar face to harass if he ever came back. He found himself glaring at her briefly before checking his watch and sighing through his nose. He'd take talking to street artist teens over this. "Of course not, Miss Penelope." his tone flat, like it was taking effort to say this much to her. "How long is your program supposed to be anyway?" he asked. She needed to ride everything to make a good program? wouldn't three rides be enough? Maybe this would've been more tolerable is he was babysitting Eris Halla . At least Penny would have a different target to harass. The Furris Wheel slowly began to reach its first peak, inching further and further to the apex of the ride. Paxton found himself focusing on the tops of buildings and rides.

Peering down for the side windows, she could see that the other carts has stopped as well (obviously), and there was now a small gathering of crewmen near its electrical box.

He could see someone running to check on the engineering under the wheel and someone else gesturing and shaking their head to a line of carnival goers waiting to get on themselves. [break][break]

"This probably isn't good for your report." he added with a small sigh as he leaned back into his seat, slouching down. He stretched out his legs the best he could and and tilted his cap over his eyes. "Nothing to do but wait." he added as he tapped a pokeball on his side, the light revealing a small but sleepy looking kitten. The galarian meowth immediately locked onto the reporter, before excitedly beginning to sniff in her general direction. "Keep the VIP company." he ordered and he crossed his arms ready to doze off if allowed to. It was clear he had no desire nor intention of keeping the woman from being bored.

Ollie is more than excited to clamber into the seat next to Penelope, not yet pouncing on her for play but getting used to her first. Though, he was automatically happy with any person he met being so young after all. And if Paxton trusted her enough to sleep in front of her, surely she was a nice person? [break][break]

A swish and his hat is gone, and he can smell her right up in his face. Tired, teal eyes open and stare back at the reporter as if through her. "Miss Penelope," he began voice level and tone low considering how close the woman was to him. "May I remind you, my job is to escort and protect you." he said, lifting a hand from his crossed arms to flip the cap upwards so its more cocked on the woman's head. "Not entertain." [break][break]

He held her gaze for a moment before glancing away to check their surroundings. Though, there were very little points of interest this high up. "That being said, I am neither equipped, nor are you important enough to garner the interest of anyone with the firepower capable of taking a shot at you this far up at a fair."
